Greyhound Reunion/Training Seminar Fundraiser

**New Location**

MasterPeace Dog Training
264 Fisher St., Franklin, MA

Sunday September 16, 2018 11:00-3:00

For our 19th Annual GH Reunion we’re changing it up a little!  We’ll have our GH Reunion/Fundraiser indoors at an awesome training facility in Franklin, MasterPeace Dog Training.  As usual there will be vendors with Greyhound merchandise to buy, raffles, a silent auction, and yummy food.   Come visit with other Greyhound owners, shop, eat, and just have fun.  We can all share Greyhound stories or learn something new about this great breed.  What a great place to learn about Greyhounds as pets!

Nose Work Training Seminar/Fundraiser  1:00

At 1:00 a training expert will present a training seminar on doing “Nose Work” with your dog.  Here’s a little about it:

“Nose Work” for your Dog:  Inspired by working detection dogs, Nose Work is the fun search and scenting activity for virtually all dogs and people. This easy to learn activity and sport builds confidence and focus in many dogs and provides a safe way to keep dogs fit and healthy through mental and physical exercise.
Some of the many benefits of K9 Nose Work are:
  • Dogs easily burn lots of mental & physical energy doing searches
  • Searches can be done anywhere you can take your dog
  • No prior training is required, and no obedience is needed
  • Shy or fearful dogs build confidence and overactive dogs put their energy into fun searches
  • Stronger bond between dog & handler as handler learns to observe, understand, and rely upon his dog
Fundraiser for GRNE:
We’d like to add in a Fundraiser to the Training Seminar.  You can get sponsors to donate to our event (or you can donate!), then you and your dog can participate in a “Nose Work” activity.  All you have to do is start with a Sponsor Sheet and ask friends, family and co-workers to sponsor you and your dog’s training experience.  Then just show up with your sponsor sheet and donations and sign up.  On the next page are instructions for the Fundraiser and a Sponsor Sheet.  We’ll have a free tee-shirt for all that collect over $75.

You may have received a Sponsor Sheet with your Summer Newsletter.  Or call the kennel and we e-mail one to you.

Tentative schedule:

Plan to spend the whole day! Bring lawn chairs for you, and a blanket for your hound(s)

11:00 am Check-in begins: Stop at the registration table to turn in your donations. Those turning in donations over $75 receive a free t-shirt!
